ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

FiND Coordinators

Coordinators are expected to assist in the planning and implementation of FiND and hold their roles for full academic year depending on completion of tasks, goals, and timeline of interviews

  • Executive Coordinator (1 Coord.)
    • Main point of contact between FiND Coordinators team and office of Asian Pacific Islander Desi Affairs.
    • Oversee, exchange information, provide guidance, and coordinate the FiND Coordinators team along with the Director and Graduate Assistant
    • Create meeting agendas with responsibility for planning and implementation of the FiND
      • Schedule 1:1 coordinator meetings and bi-weekly all coordinator meetings
    • Coordinate registration and early move-in on campus for students
      • Work with Director and GA to coordinate with Housing and Residence Life
    • Manage student and internal documentation
      • Registration, sign-in, itinerary, etc.
    • Coordinate student check in during FiND Welcome program in Fall and Spring
    • Collect and create assessment reports (of Coordinators, Peer Leaders, and FiNDERS)
      • Pre – Peer coordinators and peer leaders
      • During – all 3
      • Post – all 3
    • **Candidate should ideally have participated as either Peer Leader or Coordinator prior to applying
  • Workshop Coordinator (1 Coord.)
    • Oversee and develop the itinerary of virtual and in-person FiND welcome
    • Create and develop workshops for FiND Welcome in Fall and Spring
      • Peer leaders may assist in developing content where necessary
      • Communication with workshop speakers/presenters (campus partners and departments)
    • Develop monthly workshops throughout semester on topics/content not covered during welcome
  • Multimedia Coordinator (1-2 Coord.)
    • Create internal and external marketing plan to schedule FiND posts on various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
    • Implement communication strategies for FiND content on various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Remind101, etc.)
    • Proficiency in areas of graphic design, photography, and videography.
    • Communication with campus-wide sponsors/sponsorship
    • Any and all external communication and outreach
      • Local business, Non-profits, etc.
  • Peer Leader Engagement Coordinator (2 Coord.)
    • Coordinate application and interview process of FiND Peer Leaders
    • Manage communication with FiND Peer Leaders
      • Develop opportunities for meaningful connection between FiND Peer Leaders
    • Develop training itinerary
      • Facilitation, how to have meaningful dialogue, etc.
    • Coordinate with FiND Peer Leaders to develop activities and skits for FiND
      • Provide critical feedback where necessary for Peer Leaders’ activities
    • Work with FiNDER Engagement Coordinators for for Peer Leader and FiNDER Pairing
  • FiNDER Engagement Coordinator (1-2 Coord.)
    • Manage FiNDER registration
    • Coordinate FiNDER social/community building events in the summer and throughout the year
      • Summer Engagement programming to reach out to FiNDERS
      • End of academic year Reunion in April
      • Transfer students and PACE students in Spring
    • Create the communication and marketing plan with Marketing Coordinator for incoming FiNDERS
      • Targeted group messaging – FB class groups/chats?
      • Remind101
      • Emails if necessary (work with Director and GA)
      • Calls if necessary (work with peer leaders)
    • Work with Peer Leader Engagement Coordinators Pairings for Peer Leader and FiNDER Pairing
  • Graduate and International FiNDER Engagement Coordinator (1 Coord.)
    • Build working relationship with the International Center, SG – Student Legal Services, and Graduate School for workshop sessions and coordinate itineraries
    • Outreach to Graduate and International students
    • Identify specific set of Peer Leaders for Graduate population
